Brighton & Hove Triathlon returns on Sunday September 6th and continues to attract first-timers, families, charity fundraisers, and experienced athletes in one inclusive festival format. Organisers say the event is built to be accessible and welcoming, with a strong focus on helping new participants take their first step into multi-sport.
If you’re looking for a big race-day atmosphere without a long trip, Brighton & Hove Triathlon offers a realistic, accessible challenge; why not come down with a friend, bring your club and make a social weekend of it by the sea. The event runs from 7am to 4pm from Hove Lawns which is within walking distance from the main station.
The 2026 weekend includes Novice Super-Sprint, Sprint and Standard Distance Triathlons and multisport formats for people who do not want to complete all three disciplines, including options for non-swimmers, non-riders and non-runners.
There are also youth and children’s events, with opportunities for youngsters from age three to take part. All triathlons are sea swims, fully closed-road bike courses that are flat and fast, with run routes along the seafront. Organisers say that mix gives newcomers confidence while still offering a high-quality race experience for returning athletes.
Both Brighton & Hove Triathlon and Eastbourne Triathlon are part of the Triathlon England Southeast Senior Series and Junior Series, and both events have won Triathlon England National Titles in Event of the Year categories on multiple occasions.
